Turning Negative To Positive

You know that in most cases the negativity we find in our lives comes from someone else. It’s either learned over time from the people closest to us or it is instilled, intentionally or not, with tools of blame, fault and ridicule. They lead to guilt and humiliation that can gnaw away at your insides and erode your self - confidence, self - esteem and dignity.

But negative feelings only persist when they are given the space to and that’s all down to thought - positive or negative.

Thinking in a positive way is really very simple. Changing your mental outlook is like breaking a bad habit.

If you can show the determination and intention to achieve a more positive pattern of thought then you can change your life.

Keeping a Gratitude Diary is a fantastic tool you can use to turn a negative outlook and attitude into a positive one. Making a commitment to keep it for just 1 month, for 5 minutes each day, will turn your life around, I promise!!

You will be happier, the people around you will be happier.

We become what we think about

“We become what we think about”, said Napoleon Hill (author of "Think and Grow Rich")

Thinking ungrateful thoughts and taking things and people around you for granted, will bring you more things to be ungrateful for. And you will become, or continue to be, an ungrateful person.

This is easily reversed by starting a Gratitude Diary. For people who complain a lot, finding things to be grateful for will be difficult at first. A little perseverance over a month or so, for 5 minutes each day will turn that attitude around, and miracles will start to occur in life.

With an attitude of gratitude, life can be simple, easy, and joyful.

Today's Positive Affirmation
I have an attitude of gratitude therefore I expect my day to unfold with simplicity, ease, and joy.

Today's Positive Visualization
I take an even breath and relax into the presence of God that dwells within me. For a moment I experience the ease, simplicity, and joy this divine connection brings to me. I allow myself to remember all the wondrous things that God has done for me and I am filled with thanksgiving. I commit to living my life with the attitude of gratitude and I expect to receive the abundance and joy the law of thanksgiving provides. In my mind's eye I see myself going through my day filled with thanksgiving. I combine these images with feelingsof joy and let them go, knowing that they will create the good things I am visualizing and thinking.

The Law of Correspondence

Keeping a Gratitude Diary invokes the Law of Correspondence.

This powerful mental law says, "as within, so without." It says that your outer world is like a mirror that reflects back to you what is going on in your inner world. And the law of correspondence says that everything that happens outside of you corresponds to something that's going on inside of you. When we say that your outer world is a reflection of your inner world, we mean both at a conscious and at a subconscious level.

If you consciously believe that you have the ability to achieve your goals and you can hold a picture of those goals clearly in your mind long enough and hard enough, eventually your outer world will correspond with it.

You will see this law of correspondence in action when your outer world of people starts to correspond exactly with your own attitude. You will always see your attitude reflected back to you in the faces and the behaviors of the people around you. If you have a positive, optimistic attitude, people will respond to you almost immediately, even before you open your mouth, in a positive and cheerful way.

If your attitude is one of gratitude towards everything around you, then this will also be reflected back to you.
