What sort of things can you put into your Gratitude Diary?

Remembering that you can never repeat anything, all enries must be different, try being specific.

Instead of being grateful to a person on the whole, for example, state exactly why you are grateful. Did they make you a cup of tea? Did they laugh at your joke? Or bring you a present, or give you some great advice, or, or, or, or. You get the picture.

Only do try to enter just one thing for that person per day. There's heaps of other things to be grateful for as well.

Changing the World

When we develop a right attitude of compassion and gratitude, we take a giant step towards solving our personal and international problems.
~ H.H. Dalai Lama

How true this quote is - once a person has a Gratitude attitude, it becomes impossible for that person to wage war, or do the 'wrong' thing to anyone or anything else. And if we were all that way, many of the world's problems would disappear. Gratitude is the beginning of seeing how everything is connected, and one day everyone will see this.

Gratitude Excerpt

"The more gratefully we fix our minds on the Supreme when good things come to us, the more good things we will receive, and the more rapidly they will come; and the reason simply is that the mental attitude of Gratitude draws the mind into closer touch with the source from which the blessings come.

If it is a new thought to you that Gratitude brings your whole mind into closer harmony with the creative energies of the universe, consider it well, and you will see that it is true. The good things you already have have come to you along the line of obedience to certain laws. Gratitude will lead your mind out along the ways by which things come; and it will keep you in close harmony with creative thought and prevent you from falling into competitive thought."

An Attitude of Gratitude over Christmas

I've had a break from posting on my blogs, as my son came to stay over Christmas and I had difficulty getting near my computer!

I played the Glad game for this situation, and found the positive in it.
I am grateful to my son, as it forced me to take a well-deserved break, and do other things.

Albert Einstein said :

"There are two ways to live your life.
One is as though nothing is a miracle and the other is as though everything is a miracle."

When you practice an "attitude of gratitude"you live in a state of "celebration", recognizing the awesome "divine goodness" all around you.

So that's what I did. Sure beats getting annoyed about it and wasting energy!
